BIO:He began his training with the first of the brothers (José) and then continue at the Academy of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungría in Seville under the direction of Eduardo Cano de la Peña. In 1867 he went to Rome to expand knowledge and in 1876 he settled in Pontoise, near Paris, becoming nationalized French. He participated in the exhibitions of the Paris Salon and was awarded at the Universal Exhibitions of Paris, in 1889, and Chicago, in 1893.1 He took part in National Exhibitions of Spanish Fine Arts and obtained honorable mention in 1864 for his painting Christopher Columbus when coming to propose to the Catholic Monarchs the discovery of the New World, and first medal in 1892 with the work The Doctor's Visit. He specialized in historical painting, although he also cultivated the customs, both with a veristic style and with a great drawing accent that reveals the great influence of his brother José.
